A heads up: I noticed a copy of Rivals to Silver Eagle on ebay last night....with dj, located in Australia.....if anyone gets it cheaply, I'm happy for them, but just don't want to know...not till the sticker shock of my copy wears off! edited to say, the auction had several days to run, it wasn't concluding last night!

Sorry Haffyfan - just seen your message - THANK_YOU! "My" photocopier is no longer outside my room but right outside the head's door. Very annoying. Although might be able to get to use scanner at some point as it is not so closely guarded now!

No I havent seen that edition of Fly either. Is it an Aussie edition trixiepony? Looks like the cover was done by Victor Ambrus.
I like Tessa and her ponies. There are a few others in the series but I havent read them. They are quite hard to get.

Go on - give us some clues! Hazarding a guess for something Paul Brown illustrated maybe. Or a nice Dorothy Lyons/Nancy Caffrey/Patsey Gray complete with DJ.

Ok in the fly-by-Night book it says that the illustater was by auther. She's good lovely horse and rider drawings most can do people or ponys but not both. Its a old school library book it has a stamp in it from the Tangara school for girls.

Claire...dying to know what you've snatched from beneath my nose :-) An H.M. Peel book, perhaps? If it's a copy of Crab the Roan, I just don't want to know :-(
I know what you mean about waiting till it's in your hands though....I also just bought a book from the UK (only kind of sort of a pony book, so it won't raise much excitement here, though I'm pretty happy), and I won't sleep well till it's arrived at my door!

Think I used to have that but have not seen it for years - so it is probably another one that has disappeared in all the moving around.
I've just got (and read already) THe Lord Mayor's Show.
Also some of The Treasured Horse COllection (not sure what they'll be like but they were cheap and I've been curious about them)

Hmm - bit of an incentive that - but then I would have to sell it and I'm not good at that.
BTW - who is the illustrator on THe Mystery Pony?
