So, so cute - keep the photos coming - have you noticed him getting livelier every day?

yes, his progress is just amazing, today he's started to climb up the fire guard. He has a favorite place to lie (in front of heater) and he loved playing with his first toy mouse, luckily I bought Diesel (jack russell) one as well so they were both ragging their toys and having a whale of a time. It's a shame my other cats live in the barn at the ponies or they could be socialisinga bit.
He is also eating loads more already.

Sorry only one new photo as I'm having the usual photobucket problem He has a name...........Pumble I know sounds weird but I've named him after all of you in thanks for all the advice and moral support so cheers guys! (to explain pumble is how I pronounce the initials PMBL. I thought clairecallygaregmysteryhaffexsar etc etc was too much of a mouthful ;D ) He is very lively now, he eats loads and (yay) he is going to the toilet by himself although not very often in litter tray I keep finding presents behind the sofa. He is also a bit grubby at mo cos he's not good at washing yet and squeals like mad when Iclean him (typical male with soap aversion!) He is firm friends with Diesel which is a relief cos I was worried she would eat himas she's not the friendliest with other animals but I think she realised he was special. I will try and upload more pics, I've got some good ones - does anyone else have trouble with photobucket?

They look sweet together like that. I love the name!
The mother cat teaches kittens to wash so it may be a problem for him learning (or he may be a natural scruffy male ;D) . Does Diiesel not wash him. She may start to when they become closer. You could try putting butter or marmite or spready cheese on his paws and he will start to lick them clean and may continue with the rest of the body!
Re photobucket. What browser are you on? When I was using firefox I couldnt get into p/bucket but had no problem on explorer. Actually been having a lot of probs with firefox lately, think they may have some glitches.

That is SUCH a sweet photo. I wish I could scan in photos but I'm pretty computer illiterate. My rats are particularly sweet and amusing at times.
Alas, our last goldfish died today. R.I.P Gordon Bennett. Down to 8 pets now.

That's interesting about photobucket and Firefox, I was fine with it until Photobucket did some sort of improvement to itself, and improved itself to much to talk to me anymore, now I can't get on - I changed to Firefox and it is miles better than BT, but I'll have a go at getting on to photobucket with IE.

Partner Phil told me this morning that he thinks our Muscovy duck, Dash, isn't looking too good. She's around 10 years old and has what we think is a tumour on her side which he said seems to be leaking. We decided a while ago not to inflict any 'treatment' on her but it might be time to consult a vet as to what we can do to make her more comfortable. Poor thing- she's never had a clutch and is really broody- she's sitting on someone else's egg at the moment. I might try to convince Phil to get a couple of fertilised eggs for her to hatch-make her dream come true, the sweetheart. Oh dear- tearing up (again) now. Bloody animals....

I don't know what a browser is, at the top of my screen it says windows internet explorer if thats any help. I get my internet thru orange I've got a little modem thingie I plug into computer. Cally thats so sad, I hope duck improves it would be lovely to get some fertilised eggs. It's so hard having animals and the heartache they can bring with them cos they are like extra children(except usually cleaner and better behaved than kids ;D ) Forgot to say Pumble now purrs when I pick him up and I think he read what I wrote about litter tray cos he's been a lot better.

Pumble was so funny last night, I wrapped up some christmas presents and he went mad jumping on the paper and playing with the shiny string. It took ages to get it done cos every time I started wrapping he would come along and jump all over what I was doing. He is like a [real?] kitten now into everything and really playful - his fave game is chasing Diesel until he catches her tail ( its not Diesels fave game but she puts up with it by eating Pumbles food!) This is a picture for mysteryarab - Pumble says thank you very much he loves them and is managing to eat them ok. He has given you a karma for them! (mysteryarab and I swapped books and there was a lovely surprise for Pumble sent with my book ) BTW I don't let him eat them like that really it was just for the photo!

He's a bit of a naughty teenager at the mo and his legs are too long for his body as he's having a growth spurt.

Wow Konstanze that really is dedication. I love the way cats think they are the most important thing in the world, here is Pumble trying to take the attention away from the ponies having their hay.

How on earth do you manage to snap such appealing photos Zoe? Usually by the time I have remembered where the camera is and gone and got it, I've forgotten what I wanted to take the photo of in the first place! Is it OK if I send some of them to friends?

I just love photos, especially natural ones, I'm not as keen on the fake posed ones the kids bring home from school. I've usually got my digital camera in my bag if I'm out but I took that last one on my phone. I say I don't like posed photos but I can spend quite a long time setting up my "natural" shots and a lot of it is luck and patience. I try and anticipate when the kids or animals are going to do something good then I'll get the camera out in case but more often than not I don't get any pics at all. Feel free to show your friends kunuma - I can feel my head swelling haha
Pumble is getting to be quite a free spirit, he loves the ponies and I'm sure he has got designs on the chickens so I'm watching him! - they're pretty safe as they've got a huge wire mesh run. I can't let them roam free as foxes live close to the barn. The little bay pony is Rosie. She belongs to my friend who has a daughter the same age as mine so they go riding together. Rosie is pretty ancient and is a great learner's pony as she plods along and nothing fazes her however when I get on her (or anyone who can ride fairly well) she completely changes and prances and bucks like a young un she is so funny and I'm sure my daughter and her friend make me have a go on her cos they're desparate to see me fall off. Typical welsh pony!!

Sorry to burden everyone but I am so worried, Pumble got run over today - my other half was moving my car and Pumble just ran straight under the front wheel. We rushed him to the vet who said he can't find anything broken so to just rest him and see how he goes. Pumble seems fine in himself, He has had a painkiller from the vet and is just lying in a box and loving all the attention but I'm just so worried he has got internal injuries. I don't suppose I'll get much sleep tonight so please everyone cross your fingers for poor Pumble and I'll keep you posted.
