;D HA - now Haffyfan has admitted in public that she has some Saddle Club books we have to have a thread on them!!! ;D Haffyfan, there are millions of them!! Well, perhaps only about 120, but it feels more. There were about 100 Saddle Club ones, then a follow up series called Pine Hollow, it is in the last one of them that Bonnie Bryant appeared to get fed up with them :oI was warned not to read it, and yes , there is a fire at Pine Hollow! Rather like the ending of Dynasty where everyone got shot, you can sort of tell when an author/script writer gets fed up with their characters!

I got fed up with them long before the author. Pity she didn't get sick of them sooner! ;D

I had the first 20 when i was younger and they first came out over here, never actually liked them much...overkill even at that stage....well only another 70 to go. How on earth I'll ever read them is another matter altogether........next book circle title maybe.....lol

I used to have them when the majority were brand new, and I didnt like them. So I got rid of them at the car boot sale years ago.
I wont be joining in either because I doubt I will have changed much and also, I dont have the room to re-buy them.

Hi I never realy liked the saddle club all that much, I did read most off the early ones as sum one donated them to my locle libery, ( thay did not like them ether) so I read them as I new sum young girls that loved the books and would be crying when a horse dies in there new book. Eny way I did injoy one or two off the books.

I've only read a couple, but I don't think they're as bad as people make out. They are very American, but a lot of the issues they deal with are similar to those by English pony authors.
