Silver Brumby animated series? I'm not familiar with it. Where would I find it? If I can track it down I'll organise you a small girl review. PS. I too loved the Fawlty Towers rat !

When i say cartoon.. I believe they were... like figurines.. like Postman Pat! Well yeah I didnt really like it much, but the ponies talk and rescue people and stuff. The animation is stop motion, and the ponies were 3D clay models. Like mysteryarab said, it's basically a horsey version of Fireman Sam, the ponies rescue things. Like when for example one of them gets stuck on the beach, then the others rescue. I am not sure if it is Star Hill or Starhill ponies, I have never seen it in English (I am in Wales, and it is a Welsh made programme) only in Welsh. They show it every morning here, though it is in Welsh.

Another pony series is Moon Stallion. It is now available on DVD. I am not sure whether it is suitable for Nutwood's daughter as I have not seen it! www.amazon.co.uk/Moon-Stallion-Region-Sarah-Sutton/dp/B001SZ2HH0Although the cover is German, the programme is actually the original English version. So if you cant understand German, dont worry. Which is good because I heard the programme had been junked. At the moment, it is the only place I can find it for sale (with the exception of ebay).

Thanks garej. I had a look, sounds interesting, although possibly a bit old for her at the moment. Has anyone seen it? A parcel of "The Stables" turned up last week and is currently being enjoyed in the small amount of DVD time available at the moment. Thank you to this thread as I'd never heard of it before!

I haven't seen the Moon Stallion, which I don't think had an American showing (and I agree, some dreadful torture should be devised for whoever came up with the DVD "region" incompatability), but I have read the book, which is probably more fantasy than horse oriented. Some people loathe it, but I kind of liked it....grin, to each his (or her) own! Anyway, I would say (providing the movie sticks more or less to the book) I don't think it would appeal to a 6 year old....10 or 11 maybe.
And off topic.....Fawlty Towers did air here, and I've got the complete series on DVD...I think my favorite was the one where they do some remodeling, with Basil sneakily hiring the cut rate, completely incompetent builder. And it all goes downhill when Manuel is the only person there when the builders arrive and need instruction....."que?" :-)

C,mon Claire; help out! How old were you when you " I loved that series when I was a child"? By the way, just for amusement Rosie. I had an employee once who used to jump and down on his bonnet when his car stopped. His bonnet sort of represented a relief impression of his engine after a bit of this treatment!

Honestly nutwood asking a lady to reveal her age Now before anyone says she's no lady...don't! I can't remember exactly how old I was to be honest but I would guess under 10.
