Yes we have a few Harry Potter fans on the forum. There is a thread mainly about the films but also the books too if you want to read it: ponybooks.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=nonhorsyfilms&action=display&thread=138Coincidentally have just watched the film which was quite good altho nowhere near as good as the book. The Half Blood Prince I thought was one of the best books in the series, but I think they missed too much out in the film and put in stuff that wasnt in the book and which wasnt really needed. I think the film which seemed to follow the book best was the Order of the Phonenix.

*holds up hand* Yep I love harry potter, love all the books so I got the beedle the bard one (in desperation for more!) but was very dissapointed. My kids don't get it, I have to keep explaining that I dont love the actor who plays him but the actual books! I've only seen a dodgy copy of the new film which was hopeless (and partly in a diff language!) so will have to wait to watch the proper dvd.

The films suck. No offence but they ruin the books, its one or the other im afraid. The books however are amazing, but If im re-reading the series I can never be bothered to read the first 3 (possibly because I read 1-4 continuously when I was little)

Still not watched all film as flippin DVD Oh's brother got me (*Cough*) won't let you scene select or fast forward. I had watched up to the Burrow burning down and thought i'd watch the rest later...lol that was in the summer.
Did the producer (or whoever) actually read the book though as there as very little in there I actually remember happening like that in the book.

Yep I agree haffy it somehow didnt gel with the book and there were bits in it that werent in book. I wouldnt go so far as to say it sucked but I was disappointed after all the hype saying it was the best HP film so far. But why does Hermione fancy Ron?

I don't like the films much either. I find Hermione really irritating in the films and also so much is missed out because of time, I know ... even so I don't like them.

I love the books. I have only watched the first film and I thought it was ok, nothing more. The bit I really disliked was the quidditch match. I enjoy it in the book but I disliked the way the film deviated so much from the book. For example several players in the film crashed and dropped out which did not happen in the book. Also Harry stands up on his broom at the end which is silly because there really is no way a kid with less than a year's flying experience could do that. I can understand the film makers wanting it to look as exciting as possible, but IMO they went about it the wrong way.
