I really liked it seahorse....you won't want to know theres a sequel then Rosina and Son...I haven't read that one yet so not sure whether it's also a true story.

I quite liked it, but it did take me 2 attempts to get into it. But I wouldn't say it was one of my fav pony books. Amazing that it was based on a true story. Keep meaning to see if I can find out more about the real pony and the real events. Not read the sequel either yet - has anyone?

Sorry about the pic..can't get the hang of the scanner (OH chose it and in typical man style had to have the most all singing all dancing one available...and now we can't use it!) THE MODERATOR (CLAIRE):Haffyfan hope you don't mind have modified the pic as the thread had gone a bit funny!

I liked the book. I did read the sequel but it was so many years ago I can't remember it at all. I still have a copy of Rosina copper though. Like everyone else, I would like to hear more Janice.

As far as I remember the sequel was actually a 'prequel' and was about her life before when she was in a circus and had a foal.

I went to see Rosina Copper when I was very young courtesy of my wonderful, totally non-horse Dad and her owner, Meg. Rosina was very old and had no teeth and so we took her a bag of liquorice Allsorts! Somewhere in the archives I have photos but whose archives I don't know - could be my late twin sister's!
