;D Nearly forgot what I came on to say after looking at Zoe's pic! I wonder if our esteemed mod is still up a mountain (well hill - but I have seen those Wainright walks and they would feel like mountains to me!) Hope she survives to go for her ride! Happy Birthday Claire!

Hi all, thanks very much for the birthday messages and the pic zoe Just got back from a fab weekend in the Lakes. Weather was a little dodgy on the saturday but we still managed to get about a bit and went for a yummy Mexican meal (with tequilas!) on the night. But today was just amazing. Weather was great and I finally got up Cat Bells which is a little 'mountain' near Keswick which I have wanted to climb up ever since I saw the Julia Bradbury Wainwright Walks TV programme a couple of years back. Back then due to health probs I could barely climb a flight of stairs and didnt think I would ever be able to do it so I am chuffed that I got up there! I've been to some 'wow factor' places such as the Alps but tbh the views up there were as good as any I've ever seen. I really recommend it to anyone going to the Lake District in the future - you dont even need to be able to get to the top - just a hundred yards up the views are amazing. Anyway will post some pics as soon as I've got them sorted. Didnt get any pony books but I havent seen my brother yet and he usually gets me one or two. But it was still the best birthday I've had in a long time. Now just the riding to look forward to!

Glad you enjoyed your birthday Claire and managed to climb up Cat Bells I've visited the lakes once and was blown away by the views. Now all you've got to do is climb on a horse ;D
