Haha zoe its already heard every swear word under the sun and been bashed a few times! Trouble is I have to keep plugging on with it for the mo as I cant take it in to get repaired until I have a wireless card installed in my old PC and can use that as a backup. Really could do with a new laptop but with spending all my money on buying a new house that will be about as likely as Gerard Butler turning up on my doorstep with a box of Milk Tray ;D

Hi folks, had mega problems with this last night. It crashed and wouldnt come on again. Eventually got it working but it would not connect to the internet and wasnt detecting any wireless network. I think the wireless adaptor has got corrupted so it looks like it will deffo have to go and get fixed very shortly. Luckily I can still get the net through the ethernet connection so I am still with you but if I suddenly disappear you will know the computer has completely given up the ghost!

Poor Claire!! Understand all too well, as my computer seems to be feeling it's age now too....it's ok on it's own, but so much of the content on the internet is just beyond it, and it's taken to just popping up an "internet explorer" error and dropping me off the net with distressing regularity.
Like you, the funds for a laptop or new pc aren't there at the moment, though I've been toying with the idea of a netbook.
BTW, you shouldn't be so cruel as to drop phrases like "milk tray" on an international forum where, (sob, sniffle), some of us have no chance of getting one at all, let alone special delivery!! ;D They used to sell here, but sadly none has appeared in some years now :-(

Hi susan sorry didnt realise you couldnt get Milk Tray over there! What a tragedy I'd send you some but I dont think customs allows it anymore Finally got the part for my ancient PC and I've got the internet to work on that too (tho so slow its almost in slow motion!) just have to pluck up the courage to send my baby in to laptop hospital now

Actually trixiepony my laptop is insured! Has to be with using it for business. Its a good job it is as would have spent a couple of grand on the thing by now it has been in for repair so many times! Or maybe had to buy new ones like you say.
