I have reached a bit of a stalemate with my collecting, I did not realise how little I knew before being introduced to this great site. (learnt more than I thought I would regarding men lol)
I need some advice on what to search for next as have nearly done Patricia Leitch, the PT sisters and Caroline Akrill and most of all the other popular ones any help would be great.

seahorse not sure which ones you have read so sorry if you have already read them but here are some suggestions:
Catherine Harris - she is excellent. Reminds me of Josephine Pullein-T
K M Peyton - have you read some of her less well known books such as Dear Fred, The Sound of Distant Cheering (just read this myself it was great) and Last Ditch. Also Small Gains and its sequel are good too. Apart from Last Ditch they are all a mix of pony story and love story. Also darkling and blind beauty are great too but you may already have read them
Hilda Boden little grey pony - this is a lovely little read and a bit different from the norm
M M Oliver - Riding Days in Hooks Hollow, Horsemans Island, Land of Ponies. This is a series with some good characters in and some stuff about training ponies. Much better than her Bunts books
Joyce Stranger - both her pony and animal books. I like Khazan the horse from the sea best also Casey which is a cat story
Anne Henning - the Connemara series. First one in particular is very funny. One of the few books Ive read about showing in hand. Poor Irish bloke gets in all sorts of bother due to a cantankerous colt he has bred. I love it.
Joanna Webster - Knocker series. Have you read these? Nice undemanding reading with good central charater.
Lilias Edwards - all good stories, I like Silver Blaze best.
Veronica Westlake - the ten pound pony. This is fab
Judy Waite Horse Healer series - modern pony books but I like them. Main character is a boy who is a sort of horse-whisperer
Not horse books but I would absolutely recommend Carbonel and The Kingdom of Carbonel by Barbara Sleigh. I have yapped on about these on another thread. They are about cats and magic and just brilliant. You will love them.
Oh could go on all night! Hope you havent read all these already!

The only ones I can think of are these:-
Monica Edwards (though not all her books were pony ones, and some are borderline, so I believe)
Jean Slaughter Doty. I dont like her personally, but most people think that she is good, but she is American and has written a fair few books. I think all them are pony ones, but if not, then the majority are. She originally wrote under Jean Slaughter.
Gillian Baxter is also quite good too. I suggest you try Bargain Horses, it was her last book published and many people believe that one is her best book. The Magic and Moonshine books some people generally dislike, but I dont think they are that bad. They are written for an younger audience though.
Other than that, I cant think of any authors. You say that you have done most of the popular ones, so you may have tried some of the above suggestions already.

seahorse you will have to tell me which books you will be reading next I will be very interested to hear about them. Unfortunately all the ones I havent read now seem to be the rare and/or expensive ones. There are a couple by Catherine Carey I havent read yet which are not too bad but some are well-nigh impossible to get hold of. Might try Pamela McGregor Morris next have only read one of hers, trouble is they are hard to find! I suppose I could always start reading the American pony books!

Has anyone got Great Horse Rescue...that's an allen one I am missing along with Grey Ghost. Is it any good?
I would recommend Catherine Carey's...anyone know all the books she wrote at all...Claire...? I think I have them all but there may be ones I haven't heard of as I thought I had all of Catherine Harris's but now it seems I need 'If wishes Were Horses'. Have only read Topper and Clear round so far but PMM is excellent...I have just managed to get a lovely copy of 'Blue Rosette' which I am rather chuffed about!

haffyfan the great horse rescue is the one I havent read thanks for reminding me. Talking of Catherine Carey, strangely enough I am adding some stuff to my website and was actually working on the page with catherine c when I read this. Here is the list of titles I think its all of them:
GREY ARROW (LUTTERWORTH 1967)
SHOW JUMPING SUMMER (LUTTERWORTH 1969)
PINK PONY (LUTTERWORTH 1969)
BECAUSE OF A PONY (LUTTERWORTH 1971)
NAMELESS PONY, THE (LUTTERWORTH 1972)
While we're on the subject of CC and PMM I have a mental block over Show Jumping Summer and Clear Round. Which one of them is about the professional type show jumping girl who is a bit jaded. Thought it was Show J Summer but now I have a feeling it might have been the other. Havent got copies of each at hand to check. I think I had better check before I put the blurb on my site! Anyone got a copy they can look up for me?
PMM is really hard to get hold of I envy you that copy of Blue Rosette I might even be scrounging a picture of it off you!
I was looking for some more H M Peel the other day after you mentioned Pilot seahorse, seems to be nothing around except the ones Ive read!

Thanks Claire, I think I ahve got a full set then although I am pretty sure they are all stand alones...the ones I've raed are any how.
I think Showjumping summer will be the proffessional one, she has a pushy dad who makes her compete. Clear Round is more a career novel although Fiona does some competing too.
