Have a look at this vid, not only fascinating for the riding styles, but so interesting to see how Arabs were before the show ring fashions turned them into exaggerated ornaments! Haffy - look at what the Arab used to look like!! There is one called Arabians which shows the original Crabbet horses - proper riding horses! www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=17435

Sigh If I could persuade my photos to upload, I'd send you a photo of the old mare here, who would change your mind - I know! You would think she was a quarter horse!

er........... flippin' ugly!! Actually it pretty much got adopted from this site fuglyhorseoftheday.blogspot.com/not only well worth a read, as full of outspoken common sense and wisdom and yet written with talent and humour - but a reminder that there are some genuine 'animal lovers' out there, as opposed to 'animal keepers'!

Thank you for this link Kunuma. When is it from? I love arabs too x I was given the link to the site to research old film on dogs, and of course being me, I always look for the Arabs too, I was fascinated by some of the stuff on there, a lot of it probably never shown, I've already learnt rather a lot about some horses and dogs who were only names far back on a pedigree before and I had only seen pictures of them!
