Hi all, hope everyone had a great Christmas Unfortunately I managed to come down with the lurgy a couple of days beforehand and have spent the time coughing, snivelling and sneezing. Well, at least it gave me an excuse to escape the relatives early! ;D Santa however has been very good to me with a bumper load of books which I have been after to add to my collection. The best two are a 1st edition of Sabre by Kathleen Herald (KM Peyton) and an early edition of The Mandrake also by her. (Rubs hands together with glee!) But have also got some other great books including Greater Gains and The Sound of Distant Cheering, by KMP, Against the Odds by Susan Millard, Bargain Horses by Gillian Baxter and The Grey Ghost by Carolyn Henderson. The only trouble now is deciding which one to read first! The next few days will be spent recuperating and reading whilst stuffing myself with (the normally forbidden) crisps, biscuits and chocs, and maybe the odd drink. My carpet is also breathing a sigh of relief as the cats have been given a new scratching post/climbing centre which hopefully will keep them busy for a while. Did anyone else get any interesting pressies, books or otherwise?

That's a great pressie Seahorse, you'll soon win him over.
I got some very nice books including Stables At the Hamptons. I have ordered Brumby Racer (I thought it would be here by now but I haven't been told it's unavailable either so fingers crossed) and have ordered/bought the Blackbirds books I am missing.

I got three of the Patricia Leitch books I have been waiting for, Afraid to Ride, Pony Surprise and Rebel Pony. Can't wait to read them if I get a spare minute. The nearest I've been to anything horse-related so far this holiday is 'my little pony' and Barbie's horse *shudders* I think I am coming down with the lurgy too...
