The thread about books that got away made me remember the lovely collection of Beswick horses I had as a child. But I gave them all away when I left home I can't blame my mum for that one this time! I think some of them would be quite rare now. How I wish I'd kept them!! Has anyone else got rid of collections, childhood toys etc. and now wish they still had them?

When I was 17 I gave away my ET teddy that I had since I was tiny - I wish I had kept him. I also had loads of star wars toys, the ones that fetch loads of money these days - god knows where they went!!!!

I was trying to think of something when I remembered this story I was about 5, and my best friend lived one door down from me, so naturally we lived alternitivly at each others houses, and we were always leaving stuff behind us. Anyway at one sleepover I brought this bear with me, which I had had since I was a baby, my mum usually kept it in a special box of stuff, I cant remember whether I was allowed it out or I snuck it out, but anyway I left it at my friends house! Sooo every year my old primary school has this big sale and everyone brings in stuff for the stalls, and when I went round to my friends house one morning to be taken to school (our mums took it in turns) and I saw this bear in a bin liner ready to be taken to the sale, and me being the shy kid I was back then didnt dare to speak up and say that it was mine! So anyway on the day of the sale I couldnt find it anywhere, and just as I was walking past a stall, someone threw it on the heap of second hand stuff, where I lept on it and bought it for 5p My mum still doesnt know. I think she'd have a fit. I do regret giving away some of my old books though..
