Does anyone know anything about trimming dew claws on an elderly terrier?

Sorry, we take jadey to the vets for hers doing. I would guess the same as their normal claws although as jadeys grow they curl round so we have to keep an eye on them.

Yes, just the same as the other claws, just do a little bit at a time to avoid cutting the quick. They don't get worn down like the others so can get curly - but are easier to cut as they only need the points taken off! Cutting nails must be my least favourite part of dog care, and I think the dogs feel the same way!

I hate cutting their nails - I'm always so scared of hurting them I do tiny bits at a time and it takes forever.
