I picked up 3 Blackbirds books by Jo Fuminger at a charity shop before Christmas. I have noticed people discussing them on the forum but somehow I missed these first time round and don't know much about them. Could anyone tell me what books are in the series and what order they are in?

There are 8 in total but apart from the first 3, which were done in pb, they can be quite elusive and expensive. I have just ordered/bought the 3 that I was missing and it hurt the pocket! At The Gallop and Midnight Horse are probably the rarest (luckily I already had gallop) so if you've found these two in particular you are laughing!
1) A Pony At Blackbird Cottage (1975)
2) Blackbirds Ride A Mystery Trail (1976)
3) Blackbirds Pony Trek (1977)
4) Blackbirds And The Gift Pony (1978)
5) Blackbirds Own Gymkhana (1979)
6) Saddle Up Blackbirds (1980)
7) Blackbirds At The Gallop (1981)
8) Blackbirds And The Midnight Horse (1984)

Thanks very much for that information. As luck would have it I have the first 3 in the series, not the rare ones. I suppose that would have been too good to be true. But they were only 3 for a £1 so I can't complain!

haffyfan as the resident blackbirds expert, could you answer a question. When you sent me the blackbirds pics one of the pics you sent me was for a book by Justine Furminger. Is this the same person? Does it say anything on the jacket about her?
BTW darkhorse have you read the blackbirds books yet. I have a soft spot for them as the girl in them had the same name as me, even spelt the same which is unusual.

Hi Claire, Sorry...if I sent that you are another missing...if you let me know which I will send it you.
Justine is her daughter, she wrote the two books about Bobbie while at Uni but has wrote other (non pony as far as I am aware) books too.
