He's lovely. Is he part Exmoor? From the photos he looks to have the 'mealy' mouth! The course looks lovely too. Would love a crack at it, tho would prob fall off nowadays lol

My other half saw your pics from over my shoulder and asked if you were a prof rider - when I ride his comments are on the lines of "did you mean to do that?" I agree with him (shock doesn't happen that often!! haha) you look very profesional. What lovely pics to have.

Bay pony - breeding unknown - seem to remember she was given to the stables as being a bit unridable - everyone called her 'the mule' - except for me - I loved her. Sadly she dies one night in the field of sand colic.
Think I was around 23ish.
Hoping to go on sponsored ride with my friend this years (10years after I last did one) - not sure I'll be able to walk after - 10 miles and 40 jumps - HELP - how do you get fit for rriding without actually riding?

Hoping to go on sponsored ride with my friend this years (10years after I last did one) - not sure I'll be able to walk after - 10 miles and 40 jumps - HELP - how do you get fit for rriding without actually riding? Simple answer is, you can't. When I rode every day I was as fit as anything, when I wasn't allowed to ride due to my tummy scars bursting open, I tried swimming (like riding it uses all the muscles of the body, unlike most other exercise apparatus) and I got a bit better, but not nearly as good as riding. Why can't you ride to get fit for the sponsored ride? It can't be your health as you intend to go on the ride (always loved those, they are the best way to school young horses over timber). Lucky you. I wish so much that I could ride again. I've got the perfect horse, I've got all the gear. Oh dear, I'm going to blubber. Best stop dreaming.

Sadly - don't live near enough to friend to go riding every weekend (about once a month). Around here the cost of riding is astronomical. Will have to stick to swimming and running.

Went for another ride at the weekend - just stopped aching today!!! All the nice small ponies were busy in the riding school so had to ride a big frisky Thoroughbred - I survived though!

Great photos - Now I want to go riding!! Got a horse here, just need a cherry picker to put me on it! Jumping was always my favourite thing! I've got a super picture of one of my charges here jumping, but not sure I can post it as it isn't me on her?
