ok I've just registered on facebook - what do you do on it? It still amazes me how many people (grown up ones) love kids pony books. Until I found Claire on ebay then this website I thought I was the only one mad enough to still love reading them. Trouble is thanks to the internet, I now realise there are loads more pony books thanI ever dreamed of which means my little madness is now a huge obsession!

It is meant to help you keep in touch with friends or find old friends, etc, and also you can set up groups like the jill one. Did you join that by the way? I have been meaning to set up on pony books group for yonks but never got round to it. Zoe I went through exactly what you do, albeit about 6 or 7 years ago. I thought I was the only adult who still read pony and enid blyton books - I even used to hide the pony books under the bed so my (then) OH wouldnt see them ;D Now I am a completely out of the closet PMBL! Its not just pony books either. I know loads of people who read enid blyton, chalet school and all sorts of kids books.

When I learn how to put photos on the forum I will take one of my very own little part of the house, which is the corner of the bedroom next to my bed. There is a 7 ft bookcase full of pony books, horsey mags and books and various model horses, mainly Scleichs. Then there are my fave horse pics from magazines and dream houses- all in the UK- stuck on the walls and the odd photo of me in my youth, riding of course.
So as you can imagine (if not actually see yet), I am desperately RELIEVED that there are others out there like me!

I haven't joined it yet Claire, but I will when I've worked out how to!! I looked up my old school friends last night and can't believe how good they all look - I'm now trying to find a decent picture of me to put on., The trouble is I always pull a face when I have my pic took and look like an alien!! actually I prob look like an alien when I'm not pulling a face too, I've got too many animals and family to look after to have time to make myself beautiful/brush hair/take off muddy jods to go to the shop etc! I'm not moaning I'm very happy being a scruff other things are more important to me.(just need an airbrushed pic for facebook ha ha )

I've been a member of facebook for a bit. It is good for keeping in touch with distant friends & relations, checking up if your students are likely to have done their homework! There are quite a lot of horsey groups on there too. you will now be able to see what I look like & some of my none horsey paintings too, as I've joined the Jill group. I'm the one with the kittens.
