Some years ago, I read a very short children's novel which featured a colt that was born blind. He was a wild horse, possibly a mustang - have a feeling the book was American, and seem to recall the boy in the book having a paint horse with a blue eye that resembled the colt's blind eyes.
As far as I remember, there was the young boy who wanted to keep the colt alive, and his father? who wanted to shoot him, but what happened after that, I couldn't say.
So, anyone know of a possible title? Or author?

Is it The Blind Colt by Glen Balch (not sure of spelling of author) - he also did Stolen Pony which has a blind pony in and maybe another as well.

I think the author is Glen Rounds Sarah? Certainly sounds like that one and his books are very short too.
