Thought it would be interesting to see what books are on all your wish lists! Which books have you been searching for ages to no avail and which are the next on you buy-it list?
Here are some of mine:
J. Pullein-Thompson - Mystery on the Moor and Treasure on the Moor. How rare are these? A very nice friend kindly gave me a copy of Suspicion on the moor so these are the last two I need to complete the series. I nearly got hold of a copy of Treasure on Amazon but some ***** beat me to it! Actually I think these may be the last 2 I need for the full P-T set apart from the younger readers books which I don't collect. Just got a copy of Only A Pony and A Pony Found lately which were the others I was missing.
Judith Berrisford - Jackie series. Change Ponies and Steeplechase Lost my copy of Change Ponies, never come across a copy of Steeplechase yet (well not one at my price anyway!) Not so urgent as these are the last 2 in series.
Jo Furminger - Blackbirds series. Got the first two need the others in series: Gymkhana, Pony Trek and Saddle Up. These are for some reason overlooked but were nice little stories.
Mary Gervaise - The Secret of Pony Pass The last in the series and only one I have not read. For some reason I never read these as a child and took me ages to get round to reading them as an adult. I did enjoy them a lot when I finally got round to it!
K M Peyton - Greater Gains Read the first one in series Small Gains and loved it. Looking forward to following the story on. One for the Christmas list methinks!
Primrose Cumming - Penny and Pegasus A really rare one - will have my work cut out finding this at a low price
There are lots more I want but these are the main ones I am aiming for at the mo. Trouble is I like to find them for non-booksellers prices! I will always try to find the books I want cheaply first tho sometimes I have to give in and stump up the cash!

There are loads but I especially am after (if anyone can help)
1 JPT Mystery On The Moor (so will fight you for it if the oppertunity ever arises ;D....and I think Seahorse may join in too) - It would complete my collection (i think)
2 Caroline Akrill Caroline Canters Home
3 Caroline Akrill If I Could Ride
4 Another copy of Brumby Racer (foolishly sold mine!)
5 More in Blackbirds series (i ahve 4 so far but they are really hard to track down)
6 All the PT firsts I don't yet own and DW's for all my books without.
Claire....I found Steeple Chase Adventure on Abe about a year ago for a couple of pounds...so it is out there and affordable.

OK
This is my entire want list, excluding stuff which I am looking for certain editions, and of course, the stuff I am waiting for in the post.
Pullein Thompson
Josephine Pullein-Thompson
# Proud Riders # Save The Ponies!
Christine Pullein-Thompson
# A Pony In Distress # Incredible Pony Tales # Magical Pony Tales # Ponies In The Blizzard # Ponies In The Forest # Ponies In The Park
K M Peyton
# Prove Yourself a Hero
Judith Berrisford
# Sue's TV Pony # Jackie's Steeplechase Adventure
Gillian Baxter
# Horses and Heather # Ponies to the Rescue # Ribbons and Rings # Sweet Rock # The Team from Low Moor
Caroline Akrill
# Caroline Canters Home
Follyfoot
# Follyfoot Annual 1973 # Follyfoot Annual 1974 # Follyfoot Annual 1975 # Follyfoot Annual 1976 # Follyfoot Annual 1977
H M Peel
# Jago
Glenda Spooner
# Silk Purse
---------------------------------------
They're all really wanted, but if I had to narrow it down, I would go for the P-T ones first, as then I can just get on with updating my blog, and not worry about chasing up books on ebay/abebooks/amazon/play.com.
The Secret of Pony Pass is one that I have, it is mine from childhood. It is the first edition though.
Mystery on the Moor was the hardest to get out of the moor series, I find it disappointing as Josephine decided to completely change the characters, and the Burnetts are no longer in them. Suspicion is the same. Mystery on the Moor came from an abebooks seller in Australia, Suspicion came from an abebooks seller in the UK. So they do turn up on abebooks, just it is hard to find. Thank goodness I am not competing against you two!!
Claire, could you amend the swear word filter, as it doesnt like Glenda's surname!!

Fixed the swear filter garej! Your list has made me remember a few others I am after: Gillian Baxter - Bargain Horses, Team From Low Moor Judith B - Ponies all summer, Sues TV pony (poglepie if you are reading this I have my eye on your copy of ponies all summer but am waiting til you get something else in that I want for the postal discount - yes I'm a right tightwad!) I love 10 pound pony but I hated Ponies in the Forest. I actually sold my copy as it was too distressing to read again. As mentioned on my website it has some scenes of animal cruelty which I found really hard to take. Couple of questions for you. Have not heard of Proud Riders by JPT or Sweet Rock by Gillian Baxter. Could you give more info please? Thanks

Couple of questions for you. Have not heard of Proud Riders by JPT or Sweet Rock by Gillian Baxter. Could you give more info please? Thanks I dont know what Sweet Rock is about either - it's just that I want all of Gillian's pony books. Since all her books, apart from The Knightsgate Players were pony ones, Sweet Rock is naturally on that list. Proud Riders is one of those books, which I am not sure of whether it is fictional or non fictional. It's one of those compliations books, celebrating riding. Pony Parade by Christine is very similar to it, but that definitely contains both fictional and non fictional elements. Even if it does turn out to be a non fictional book, I will probably enjoy it, even if I dont feature it in my blog. The books which tell you "101 ways to school and care for your pony" are ones that I am not after.

Nearly got Mystery On The Moor for £70 thats how much I want it lol but it had gone. Really want Silver Snaffles am I the only one who has not read it. I havent read Silver Snaffles, except for the first chapter which is on Fidra's website. BTW, I paid £10 (excluding postage) for Mystery On the Moor and again £10 for Suspicion Stalks the Moor, and that is how much they go for on abebooks. I noticed there is a copy of Jackie's Steeplechase adventure on abebooks and the seller only takes Mastercard and Visa!! Since I have none of those, it is annoying.

I have so many books that I want, where to start? There are a lot of Patrica Leitch ones I haven't got, including all the Jane Eliot ones as I didn't even know until recently they were the same person! The ones I want are: A Rosette For Royal (has anyone read it?) Rebel Pony Afraid to Ride Pony Club Camp Pony Surpise First Pony Pullein-Thompson sisters - I still have a lot to get but I particularly want the 2nd and 3rd in the Horsehaven series which I never seem to see for sale anywhere. I would also like to find some of the other books about the brumbies by Elyne Mitchell (not the silver b ones) but again they seem very rare. There's loads more but those are the ones I'm really interested in finding at the moment. Luckily I'm not collecting the 'on the moor' series as I would have to join in the scrum with everyone else for mystery on the moor!

Darkhorse - In My opinion Rosette For Royal is another over hyped expensive book, it's okay but not the best thing she's ever done and not a patch on Black Loch. Mine was cheap, I would have been rather dissapointed if I had paid £20/£30 for it!
Try Cavalier paperbacks for the 2nd and 3rd horsehaven books (and sundance saves the day, Black Swift etc). Charlotte is Christine's daughter and is lovely, she has a few titles, like the mentioned ones, that are not featured on the website. It will come up if you stick it in google as not sure if allowed to put in the link.
The 'newer' brumby books are much easier (not to mention generally cheaper) to find in oz. They are always on ebay if you search worldwide and Aussie books sell them too. Again Melody, who runs it, is lovely and helpful and it will google too.

play.com has the last 2 Horsehaven books. Postage is free and they post out pretty quickly.
They also have a couple of other PT books, I would heartily recommend getting "Pullein-Thompson Treasury Of Horse And Pony Stories" stories there, as unless you can get free p&p, you are looking a fair chunk of money in postage costs, as it is a very heavy (and thick!) book.

Hi Exmoorfan sorry I somehow missed your message. I;m not buying any more books until after Xmas. Too much expense at the moment! I'm hoping Santa will bring me some books in my stocking. If not I may be back to see if their still for sale. I did send off for the 2 horsehaven books from cavalier...thanks for that haffyfan. My last little treat before all the Xmas shopping
