Sorry had to make new account. Couldn't remember password or username! So so sad. Won't be the same knowing she has passed. She made all my dreams come true. Owed my childhood to that book! Whenever I see Shantih I always think of her. I shall always have chestnut Arabs with me now. She has given me the bug for life!

Sad news for all of us who grew up with her books. I reckon Jump to the Top was one of my most read pony books of time as a child! She and her books will not be forgotten.

The Jinny books were a formative part of my life as a bookworm child. Such unique fire and emotion that set them apart from regular pony books. I just wished I'd read Horse From Black Loch and Dream Of Fair Horses back then, having only discovered them in my 30s via this website (so thanks Claire). I finally got to ride an Arab on a holiday of a lifetime in Jordan; however I realised I'm more of a stolid hairy cob type....
