This week, I recieved a very rare and therefore very expensive pony book (though you could argue it is a horse book). It is the Deep Sea Horse by Primrose Cumming. It doesnt have a dj though. It is so rare, I have never seen one for sale on ebay or abebooks. I had it on preorder from amazon, I set it up 2 days before I received this.

Well done on getting this. It is very rare!!! I have seen it on ebay once and on abe once but thats all. Not had a copy myself. Nice pics even without the jacket. It cost me £145 (plus postage). It is in quite good condition too, tiny amount of foxing on the first 4 pages and a minor mark on the cover. The seller included a plastic cover for the boards, which is quite good considering it's rarity.

Crikey that is one expensive book! My maximum price was £150, so yep it was the top end of the budget.
