Anyone know how to fix the turntable in a microwave? mine still works but it doesn't go round any more - I do use it quite a lot as I don't have a cooker, so I am just using it without it going around - but I'd like to fix it if I could.

I dont think it actually HAS to go around to cook food. I have a feeling the older ones didn't turn and you had to take the dish out and turn it round yourself 2 or 3 times during cooking to make sure food cooked evenly. Could be wrong tho. I'm sure theres a solution on Google!

It does seem to work pretty much the same although it doesn't go round - I didn't know the old ones never went round - the things I learn on here! I'm having 'fun' (as in not!) with food at the moment as currently I'm turning from a lifelong veggie into a vegan and I'm doing well with everything except coffee - can't find anything to put in it that doesn't make it taste revolting so I can see a life of black coffee coming up!

It depends on how it goes round. If it has a ring with wheels and the turntable sits on that. maybe a bit of fod got stuck on one of the wheels, which would jam it. And those food specks are very hard to see. If this is the case, soaking and brushing will fix it. It's the heat of the microwave that makes the thing turn, but if everything is cooking as it ought, that can't be the problem. Good luck!
