I'm sure you all probably know by now that Josephine Pullein-Thompson has passed away, aged 90 years. I am currently re reading 'The Trick Jumpers' and I thought it might be fitting if we all had a think about which of her books we cherish the most. I guess for me it's the Pony Club series with Noel, Henry and the Major et al. I must dash- have to get to the chandlers for horse and chicken feed etc.

A favorite and first JPT book was the prize pony and then the pony club books both the Noel & Harry books and the Woodbury books. She wrote such engaging children and ponies.

My favourites remain the Woodbury Pony Club series - I had it as a kiddie. I got taught how to ride how JPT described in the books. Most books didnt so they spoke to me. Now as an adult my favourite is All Change (aka The Hidden Horse), although it isnt horsey.
I must re-read her books soon, as I plan to name one of my Julips after a pony in her books.
