This is long overdue, but I ended up rescuing a kitten, January time. Her name is Ivy, but she seems to have acquired the nickname; Squiggle. I was originally going to find her a new home, and just take care of her for a few days, but obviously that didn't work out. I was a bit worried, as I live in a student house, so obviously not the best enviroment for a kitten- HOWEVER, aside from the fact that i've had to hide her from the landlord, it's worked out perfectly. As I study English (and i'm in final year), i've got very few contact hours and spend most of my time reading/writing essays, so Squiggs just snoozes on me. Also with a house full of people she is constantly getting attention. She's a very good kitten, aside from destroying a few pairs of headphones, and loves all the attention. She's almost 6 months now, so it's getting to that point where she needs to be spayed and I might have to let her outside, i'm holding off though as she still seems tiny! She was very underweight when she was found, but she can certainly pack her food away, little tubbs.... this is her: My family also got a puppy last week, unfortunately I don't get to see him everyday, but i'll still share a photo. He's a 4 month old black lab, named Otter.

What an adorable pair! As you know when you first got Ivy I said she looked just like my dad's cat Sophie and those photos make her look even more so - its uncanny! I'll have to show them to my dad he'll be amazed. I don't think you need to hurry too much to get her spayed or let her out. She might not come into season for a while yet and if you keep her in she'll be OK even if she does. Tho for the sake of peace and your sanity you'll prob have to do it when she does come into season. Most cats are quite happy as indoor cats if they havent been out before. And you can always let her out when you are back home or in a a more suitable place of your own. Anyway its lovely to 'talk' with you again and good luck with your course!

Ah well he was probably quite miffed- this was about 30 mins after he arrived- he decided to roll in something smelly whilst playing with his new pals, so he had to get a bath. Us being the over protective new puppy parent's we are, put a coat on him, just incase he was a little bit cold! Here is the old group (Ribble, Kes and baby Smudge) and the new one (Smudge, Kes and baby Otter)
