I am hoping that someone can help me with the title and author of a pony book that I read about 35 years ago. The book is about a family who move from a city to a farm on what I think is Exmoor ( my memory is abit vague about the actual place). They are now able to keep ponies. During the story there is a heavy snowfall and the only way to the village is to walk there using snowshoes.
I'm afraid that is all I can remember - I loved the book when I was a child and would very much like to read it again.

I can't remember the author. For some reason I always thought it was by one of the PT sisters but I think I'm wrong about that.

It could be one of the first Punchbowl books - Lindsey makes a set of snowshoes to walk to the village, and makes a sledge for her Golden Retriever pup Glen to pull as well - does that ring any bells? She puts bells on the sledge.
