OK folks tips needed!I've had the dreaded 'hot spot'( eczema) on one of my dogs - never had skin problems before in decades of dog keeping! Anyway, eventually actually went to the vet, not something I like to do - but that didn't help - and after a lot of experimenting the only thing I have found that helps at all is Manuka Honey - the medical grade sort which is more expensive than liquid gold!
Anyone discovered anything else that works, and does ordinary honey help at all or do I have to keep shelling out over £20 for a pot of Honey!!

Well I haven't had an animal with eczema before but I have had it myself. Not saying its the same in dogs as people but mine has practically cleared up since I started using tea tree oil. Honey is really good for skin, but normal cheap honey is no good, you need to use organic, unrefined honey with nothing added. However I'm sure you can find some honey like that for less than £20! Calendula oil is supposed to be good for excema too but have not tried it.
