I hate to use a hackneyed phrase like that, but yes, last night I was back in the saddle for the first time since my shoulder operation! Nothing crazy, nothing stupid like a common ride, just a wee walk trot (and a TINY canter!) on Ringo around the yard last night! Ringo's owner Dawn came out with us to make sure I didn't get into any trouble - but also for the obligatory photo shoot! Here's one: Attachments:

Well done daren! How is the shoulder? It looked nasty from the pix on facebook. Like the tattoo tho!

It's getting there, it's just sore if I've not had it supported for long, or most often in bed, when gravity and movement tend to ignore the pain threshold!!
I'm slowly gaining movement back in it, but it'll be a while before I try any mad hooning about, I reckon!

OMG I love Ringo! Want!
Glad you are up to riding again, Daren. I think you must be one of the most consistent riders on the board! WTG!

What a beautiful horse and that background! Totally jealous. I was thinking I could start riding Buggerlugs again soon but my hands have come out in painful rheumatoid nodules and touching anything hurts- even the morphine doesn't cover the bloomin' things.
