www.netflix.com have a months free offer at the moment. I am just watching Touching Wild Horses. There is also The Black Stallion Returns/Heartland/The Man from Snowy River. And of course hundreds of other less interesting films ;D

Here's a guy who SHOULDN'T have tried to touch the wild horse:
(Are youtube links okay? If not, please delete and my apologies. If the link's not okay or doesn't work, search youtube for "cyclist gets bitten by horse." The guy was clearly warned by the horse, and note the foal off to the right ... )
Oh, and back on topic, Netflix is great. Have used it for years.

Youtube vids are fine rallycairn - you can actually use the little red youtube symbol to imbed the video into your posts (think theres a tutorial on it somewhere on the members info section)
Thanks for the info sarah. I had heard Netflix did some free offers but never got round to going on there. A free month is a pretty good deal.

Before I start madly clicking on things, as someone who thought netflix was a fly catcher - do they want any financial details up front or is it a free month with no strings attached??

What a complete idiot that cyclist was - what on earth did he think he was doing - even a thicko should have been able to see from the horse it was saying go away and leave me alone!!
What a wuss too, I made less fuss about being bitten by a Staffie a few days ago, and it had sharper teeth!!

Serves him right - she gave him all the warning signs - beautiful location though - wouldn't mind going there.
Netflix - you give your card details and just need to remember to cancel before the second month - no payment taken otherwise.

netflix always offers a free month trial in the US and I expect it will be the same as it expands into the UK market, so don't feel like you have to leap on it to get the deal, you can take your time to evaluate your needs/wants.
Re credit card details, yes, they do ask for them and if you don't unsubscribe at the end of the month it will charge you for the next month. BUT, that said, dropping the services is unbelievably easy...you just log into your account and click "end service" and that's it, you're done.
I started out with the streaming/dvd package, but dropped the dvd bit when their rates went up and I started a new job, meaning I just had less time for viewing anyway. I find the streaming to be a very good value, at about $8.00 a month, it's a LOT of content.
However! If you're looking for the latest releases, you won't find them here...it generally takes a year or more for the movies to work their way out of the theatre through cable and onto netflix. The trial is really a great way to go, because you can explore the content for free and decide if it's what you're looking for.
One tip, unless you're dedicated to viewing movies on your pc/laptop, a roku box or similar is a must buy to go with your netflix account.....they run around $70 and allow you to view right on your tv, just like another channel. The box is about 2"X2"X1" (fits in the palm of your hand) and setting it up took me about 10 minutes from opening the box to watching tv.

Well if you are talking 'provide your credit card details and get a free trial' most of the dvd rental/streaming services provide that sort of trial offer. In the UK Lovefilm is probably the biggest one with the widest range of titles and does have the up to date films included.
