Hi all we've had quite a few lists of horsy films but I don't think we've ever compiled a list of horsy TV shows/series (fictional that is not documentaries) I'd be interested to find out how many TV series actually featured horses.
Some I can think of off hand are:
Follyfoot (of course!) Adventures of Black Beauty White Horses The Moon Stallion Saddle Club (I think this is Australian) Heartland Rough Diamond
Any more please? And which are your favs?

Champion the Wonder Horse
"White Horses" was the best ever. Marvellous stuff.

Fury (Albert G. Miller) - American show which I learned about from a Brit forum member (forget who at the moment), how ironic is that?

Silas - loved that one in school hols. still after all these years need them to change nags too, always bugged me! Never noticed the terrible dubbing either For the younger generations my lil sister loved If wishes were horses and The Chatterhappy ponies (90's).

hadn't heard of a Black Stallion series, Claire, but given my track record, it wouldn't be astonishing that I was finding out about it here :-)
The Heartland series has turned up on my streaming service, Netflix, so I'll probably check it out at some point.

Yeah, I remember Mr. Ed, Black Beauty, and Follyfoot (vaguely).
Rough Diamond - the less said about that, I think...!

I havent seen it myself but having a quick look at the episodes I don't think it bears much resemblance to the books. Some of it is on youtube too. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_the_Black_StallionAlso just remembered The Silver Brumby cartoon series, better off forgotten perhaps tho!

Also loved Champion and Mr Ed. I quite liked the silver brumby cartoon Not sure if we should count the Lone Ranger, but Silver was just as famous as his rider!
