Hi all just wondering if this is happening where you are too (UK!) Been freakily hot and sunny here the past few days and getting hotter! Supposed to be up to 20 the next couple of days. Whats so weird is that its still really cold here on a night, down to about 2 which is a huge difference from the day time temp. Haven't known anything like it since I was in the Spanish mountains where it was red hot thru the day, in the pool type weather, but we had to have a fire on at night. Our climate is just going mad!

Similar here , although not all that hot really but much colder at night, I'm running in and out with bald guinea pig who has to come in and sleep in the bath - I know,I know, but it's the only place the puppy can't eat her!

Cannot believe how hot its been the last 2 days. Had a mini holiday as my friend has been staying and we've had 2 picnics and been out walking today. Was walking around in a vest top today and I still felt hot. Looks like its back to normal for the weekend tho. Nice while it lasted, pretending I was living in Tenerife

No snow here, I'm glad to say, but it looks like it is going to be a cold wet Easter. We were planning on going away for a few days, but we've changed our minds now

At least its been melting thru the day, tho not sure if my poor tulips, daffs and pansies will have survived the onslaught. Yes its a dismal forecast for Easter here too, had made plans to go to the racing stables open day at Middleham but not sure now with the weather as its bloody cold up there at the best of times.

The sad thing is those animals that came out of hibernation are in big trouble, and bees and butterflies are practically extinct as it is. I saw a beautiful grass snake today that had so sadly been killed on the road, must have come out in the heat and then been hit by the cold. First one I have seen for years too

Just what I've been thinking, saw lots of bees and butterflies over the last few weeks and now the cold and snow will have killed them off I also felt sorry for the poor lambs (its big sheep country here) who had been born into a lovely warm and sunny world and then must have got a terrible shock when it all turned nasty The only good thing is the cold must have killed off some of the bloomin midges, I love most living creatures but I must say I loathe midges and flies with a vengeance.
