Rant warning!! Having spent all day sitting 6 feet from the front door (not difficult in my house, the whole house is only 6 feet from the door) waiting for promised delivery of dog food (seemed a brilliant idea at the time, get dog food delivered so I don't have to empty the sacks a cupful at a time out of the car and carry it down to the house in umpteen journeys)..............well, there I am waiting and waiting, so eventually at 2.30 went on the Amazon site to track it, and lo and behold, there, in black and white is "Customer refused delivery at 12.30 - goods sent back to depot" What!! No one even knocked on my door, so either they went to the wrong place and didn't bother to check - OR that's what they do when they are running late with deliveries! Bearing in mind this dog food had been sent from somewhere near Birmingham - what a waste of petrol! Amazon I have to say - have an efficient and polite customer service (boy could they teach BT a thing or two) and hopefully the food is coming back tomorrow with a different courier! Not holding my breath mind!

That is extremely annoying! I'd better not start on my experiences of delivery firms or we'd be here all night! Have you noticed the latest thing they do is offer free delivery - and then you find out it could be any time from about 6am until 10pm at night, if you want to choose a more realistic time slot of say 4 hours or so they charge you a bloomin tenner!

Well this morning a replacement sack turned up with another courier, who didn't seem to have any problem actually getting as far as the house
So far so good, but snag is now that Amazon had a mad moment and doubled my order of two sacks to four, then took the money for four sacks - so far I only have one, another one is apparently on it's way, but I can't convince them the computer doubled the order and took the money four times. Think I am just about to find out just how good their customer services are.....................can't think why it doesn't seem to show up their end that they took it four times!
Think I'll go back to picking it up locally!

Kunuma can you give my dad a ring - let him know that these sort of things happen to other people too, not just me!!! ;D Can you not just cancel the excess bags before they arrive? Its normally quite easy to cancel Amazon orders I didnt even know Amazon sold pet food but I dont think I'll bother getting it thru them after hearing about your problems!

Amazon were a bit quick off the mark and charged for four bags when I ordered them!! Only I hadn't Think the only way out of this is to get them to send me the other two sacks too (anyone want any dog food!! ;D ;D)

and the tale continues, me having to try and convince Amazon that it really wasn't me who so called refused the delivery(I'd still like to know what the firm was playing at!!) So they say they have sent me an electronic credit note for the overcharge - what the h'''' is that and what do I do with it?? I hoped they just would put the money back in my account, they didn't have any problems taking it out!

I think it will just be like an Amazon voucher which you haven't quite used up, the remainder shows up on your account as a credit and when you next go to order something it asks you if you want to use your credit to pay it.
Under the distance selling regulations they are obliged by law to give you your money back tho!
