If you can watch this without a lump in your throat you're made of sterner stuff than I! Apologies for the cheesiness of this post. Result of too much food and drink too late at night! Am now leaving my loved ones (Rosie cat) behind to spend the day with dreaded in-laws! Joke! (if afore-mentioned in-laws are reading this) ;D

Thanks Claire! Happy Christmas everyone!
As some of you know, it hasn't been a good year for me and I was dreading Christmas, but puppy has done her level best all day to make it a good one, bless her. Might even persuade someone to email me the pic of her they took so you can see her!

Glad pup made your day enjoyable kunuma. Just had a giggle watching Rosie 'open' her present of a catnip toy - she kicks and tears the paper off to get to it. Took a video of it with my mobile but haven't got the lead to upload it here.
I haven't opened my pressies yet!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! It's Boxing Day here and I got some great pressies- best was a $100 gift voucher for Horseland saddlery so flyspray, and maybe some clothes for myself. I'm not a clothes horse- most of my stuff comes from op shops, working 'men's' outfitters and camping shops, but there is a pair of light weight jodhs that are way too expensive I am hoping will be on sale. Dunno why- I usually ride in jeans!

Hope you get your jods cally!
I got some nice pressies, some horsy books (will scan later), latest Stephen King book and a couple of walking books, plus the usual chocs, smellies, wine, socks etc. Debating whether to go and have a look at the sales or not now!

My main present was a food processor which is something I wanted. I got a Fleetwood Mac DVD from a real life Secret Santa, my first reaction was "who the hell was Fleetwood Mac" LOL. I think that will end up getting donated.
I got chocolates, including a musical rotating tin with some choc chip cookies in. Strangely enough I didnt get much smellies (the nearest I got was 2 eau de toilettes) but strangely got two hot water bottles. Never mind I cant use them (I have a memory foam mattress) but people must think I am getting cold. The only other duplicate was pyjamas which is what I actually needed, but one pair was too small so I will end up having to take it back to the store.
I got a new Julip which was a present to myself though. No pony books, but tbh I wasnt expecting any. In fact unlike last year I didnt get any books at all.

I got a Fleetwood Mac DVD from a real life Secret Santa, my first reaction was "who the hell was Fleetwood Mac" LOL. Surely you jest?!!! ;D Also bemused at the rotating biscut tin - what will they think of next? Got a new laptop in the sales today, sort of present to myself altho it didnt cost anything as it was a free replacement for my old back up laptop which the laptop insurance people couldn't fix so had to replace as per their policy (not complaining cos my old laptop was ancient & now I get a brand new one). I was going to get a netbook cos i only had £330 to spend and the only laptops in that range were pretty naff, but I actually found a mini laptop which is slightly bigger than a netbook and has a lot more power but is still mega small and light, and in the sales it plus an external DVD reader/writer came to the exact amount I had to spend! Just remembered I also have a box of pony books to look forward to when I get home which has been waiting under my bed to be opened at Christmas time
