Hi all, I think we had a thread on a similar subject a while back but it fizzled out, so we will start a new top 10 ones.
Suggestions for the top 10 titles for pony books (if indeed there is enough for 10) No poll for this one as we will try and work out how many books there are for each title.
My first nomination is (The) Dark Horse:
The Dark Horse by Jenny Hughes The Dark Horse by Rumer Godden Dark Horse by Jean Slaughter Doty Dark Horse by Patience McElwee The Dark Horse by Will James Dark Horse by Christine Dickinson Dark Horse by Sharon Siamon Dark Horse by Dandi Daley MacKall Dark Horse by Nat Gould
...and this doesn't even include other books where 'dark horse' has been used in the title such as Dark Horse of Woodfield or Ride a Dark Horse!
Next nomination - If Wishes were Horses:
books of this title by: Virginia Vail Maggie Dana Jean Slaughter Doty Catherine Harris Marion P. Stroud Ivy Baker
I think these 2 must surely be the winners but if you can think of any titles that have been used more than once - or if you can think of any more Dark Horses or If Wishes Were Horses please post here so we can try and assemble a top 10

Similar to Dream Pony there are also 2 Dream Horses, one by Mary Sharp, the other in the Saddle Club series.....possibly more?
I can also think of 3 Save the Ponies, one by Josephine PT, one by Gillian Baxter and one by Alexa Romanes.

Also The Wild One by both Peter Grey and Monica Edwards, tho the latter one was not really a pony book tbh.

I remember having an English translation of a Swedish book called Rider(s) By Night which could arguably be included with Ride By Night.
