Does any one else remember watching this based on the book by K M Peyton, I have vague but not good memories, my dad liked it so was able to watch in peace. Am just re reading the book now. and really enjoying it.

I watched it but didn't know what it was until years later when I read the book....I read it again too about a month ago..... wonder if you can get hold of it?

It was about a rough school taking on the local private school in a tetrathlon and the trials they went though including thier horse's being from the knacker man.

No idea who was in it but it was a bunch of misfit kids learning to ride/swim etc to take part in a trethlon (sp) Think it was on bbc

I missed this. Can you remember when it came out? I do love the book tho its a real giggle. (Also the other one in series Downhill All the Way.) Would love to watch it so if anyone has any luck finding it please let me know.

The other book was not about horses. It had the same characters they all went on a school ski-ing trip. But it was a good read. Back to who sir me sir, just had a look at the book. It was first published in 1983 so the tv series must have been after that. Maybe thats why I missed it, spent most of the 80s running around after boys/men. (nothing changes )

Yes that would make more sense as I was only 10 in 83 and seem to remember it nothing wrong with running after boys I left it to late got caught up with ponies (anyone know of a good dating agency on line) Good news Claire think I have sorted new home for Arfa so I can still keep him

Wow I rilly Liked that show and a cuple off years ago I foned the book, in a book exchang over hear Perth I think. I didn't evern now at the time I was woching it that It was bast on a book.

Just found out there is actually a 3rd book with some of the characters from Who Sir Me Sir in it (Nutty and Hoomey) its called The Boy Who Wasnt There. But the main character is actually someone new.
