Nominations for the areas most featured in pony books. I have a feeling Dartmoor and Exmoor will be well up there! Don't forget to include locations outside of the UK.

In the US, Virginia and Maryland are popular locations for books about hunters/jumpers. Kentucky for racing, California for western pleasure. And of course "The West" generally for ranch stories.

Yes I was wondering what to say for 'the West' but I suppose that would cover a multitude of places! Quite a few books are set in Wales over here and a number in Ireland (Southern/Republic) and also then we have the brumby books which I assume is the Australian Alps area...?

London is fairly popular with a few authors (such as Tan and Tarmac by Gillian Baxter, The Boy & The Donkey by DPT etc).

Beat me to it rosie!
Its a lovely place go there on holiday quite a bit. Its fairly near me. The fell pony is the native pony of that area.
Surprised that London has so many votes as to my knowledge there are not that many pony books set there, possibly more in the aforementioned Lake District which has no votes!

I've been to the Lake District once and loved it. I think that's where I went to see the Beatrix Potter museum
