OK I just pulled up one big weed, looking for my strawberry plant, and to my horror obviously disturbed baby mice. I tried to persuade the little guy to go back down the hole, he was in such good condition I knew he wasn't an orphan, but he started rushing off in the wrong direction. His eyes are not even open yet - so I have brought him in, but he doesn't like cows milk. You are supposed to give them kitten milk I know ( how ironic is that!!) I'm going to keep trying all through the night - cross your fingers for me, but he is very young!

I hope he makes it. Even though it is a mouse.

Another inmate of the Kunuma Home for Animals! How do you manage it, I only get worms and cockroaches appearing when I garden. Hope he is OK and the cats dont spot him! I like mice. Dont see many live ones around here with all the cats in my garden tho!

He's still going!! Only just, as it is really hard to feed him, finally worked out a way of getting milk to the right consistency to let him suck it off a spoon, (put oats in and then sieve it) today he put his feet up on the spoon to feed, he is absolutely enchanting, and now he has made it through two nights I'll be really upset to lose him.
