It's a bit pricey for me, I didnt pay that much for Sea Ponies (MM Oliver) or Deep Sea horse (Primrose Cumming), which are both rare books. So I wont be bidding, though.

I think the seller might be dwelling in Fantasy Land....there don't seem to be all that many collectors of Stephen Mogridge, and the books just don't sell at that price.

Well the seller kindly allowed me to use the pic on my website so good luck to them - but I dont think it will sell at that price. Its very hard to get good prices for rare books nowadays. I have been selling rare stuff for half the price or less it went before the recession.

Hi, thanks for linking to my auction for new forest treasure. I am also open to offers for this book if the book doesn't sell via the auction. Message me via eBay if you want to make an offer on the book. Thanks. Lindsay

Its really hard to know what to sell books for when there are no other copies around. I dont blame people for starting high and then lowering it later if there is no interest. Also its not just a case of rarity - its also dependant on how collectable the book/author/series is

Nutmeg At Westways by Constanze White Nutmeg Comes to Westways by Constance M White I actually see 2 fairly reasonably priced copies on abebooks right now ($20 and $28 shipped). Search for Scorpio by Anne Sheldon (if in fact it actually exists although i think Amazon have an ibsn number on it) Ann not Anne "While appearing at a horse show, Linda is entrusted with the care of a mysterious young colt and becomes involved in a dangerous search when the colt is stolen." I'm not sure this was ever actually published. WorldCat shows 2 copies, but not at 'real' libraries (Baker & Taylor and Bibliomation) It also has this field that I don't see on other books: Projected Date: 8410 There is one person who has it in their library at LibraryThing The half.com ebay store lists the ISBNs as: ISBN-10: 0671532375 ISBN-13: 9780671532376 Yes, it is funny how books go in cycles of rarity, I've certainly noticed that over the years. At the mo Jackies Steeplechase Adventure can be got reasonably cheaply but I have a feeling it will soon be back up to a high price when the last few cheap copies have been bought. 2 years later and still fairly cheap
