Had to call in to the dreaded supermarket on the way home today to get some 'must not run out of' food! Spent a tenner which cleaned me out and that's all the food shopping I am doing til next week, only trouble is, when I looked at it, I realised there was nothing for me!!
Peanuts, oats, lard, muesli and granary bread. For the wildbirds and squirrels.[/color]
Carrots, parsnips, greens, apples. For the guinea pigs 'cos I can't reach the grass with my wretched back!
Lettuce - For the tank of rescued tadpoles!!

Haha I know what you mean kunuma. I buy the basics stuff for myself but the cat gets the good stuff - she wouldn't touch the cheapy cat food! I must admit I found myself thinking the cats food smelled quite appetising the other day...

I tell my dog she eats better than I do. Although she always wants some of anything I'm eating. Actually, she expects it.

My cat is going through a picky phase at the moment, even tho she has always refused the cheap supermarket own cat food she is not usually too pernickety about the decent stuff. Just bought a large box of Felix pouches which she normally likes but she is now doing that thing where they eat the jelly/gravy and leave the little chunks behind. I think she is trying to persuade me to buy Gourmet instead. That stuff is definitely more expensive than anything I eat!

Mine are doing just the same at the mo, especially with some types of the Felix, I reckon that the dubious ingredients get more dubious at times, and the cats know that darn well! My tadpoles are now eating their way through a lettuce every couple of days and a pot of fish food for afters!!!!!!!!

Hmm yes wonder if they have changed the ingredients in Felix. I may try her on something else for a day or two and see what she does. She sometimes goes off food a bit when she is coming into season but I dont think she is.

Well the blasted cat has finally beaten me. She's now getting Gourmet. I wonder what the shop assistant thought when she saw my basket full of reduced items with one mega-expensive box of cat food amongst them! ;D I might be reduced to eating the remaining pouches of Felix!
