I like that Black Stallion one too, tho I wouldnt have said it was one of my all time favs. Must put some more Jill ones on, but too knackered at the mo.

I'll back you up, kunuma...I love that Black Stallion cover too. My first copy of it was an adaption in paperback of that cover, with a silver background. Re Ponies for Hire....the one by Margaret MacPherson? The original UK edition with the Sheila Rose cover art? Pretty cover art and I loved the book.....was lucky enough to find a copy in the US....especially since the US edition cover art is awful! I'm glad someone else likes it! The Ponies for Hire one (can't find a piccy) has got two ponies being ridden across the moor and is on a hardback.

Anyone tell me who did the other paperback cover of I wanted a Pony, not the one with the girl leading the tiny pony, the one of Daybreak as a correct dark grey, jumping with the strap round his neck?

I'm glad tintin revived these threads as its made me realise we never got round to doing the poll for this! I'll set it up and we can maybe start it on the Christmas party day.
