I was thinking title here (and I hope you dont mind me starting this Claire), but I was browsing ebay before and come across a book called Travels of The Cucumber Pony. It's by Desmond Marwood. Obviously strange, but I was thinking what other books are there that have strange titles?
The only one that springs to mind is Hua Ma the Flower Pony (Cecilia Knowles).

A Pony doctors Orders always found that one a bit odd or just plain old bad grammer. A pony doctor could well be a vet but the only Doctor in this one is a human one...
and then Gay Darius just makes me giggle

I thought of another (like A Pony Doctor's Orders it just reads wrong) is Horses is Like People (Joanne Webster). The pony's name Knocker (same book) is also a bit weird too.

A Pony Doctor's Orders actually has a hyphen in it. It's 'A Pony - Doctor's Orders' and that makes sense as it is the doctor's prescription for curing the lad. (Cripes I sound like a bloomin school marm)
Thanks for starting this thread BTW garej, I have mused a few times about weird pony book names but never got round to starting a thread. Some other weird ones:
THE BUNCH QUITTER (Don Patton)
A GREEN FOX (Kathleen Mackenzie)
A HORSE FOR X.Y.Z (Louise Moeri)
THE LION'S CROUCH (Alice Molony) HOT POTATO (Alyssa Brugman)
PARACHUTE SILK (Shirley Faulkner-Horne)
Also some of the Taronga Road Riders books have weirdish titles, the strangest being ODD BODS!

Some other weird ones that I've just thought of:
OLD BONES (by Mildred Pace)
SOUP IN THE SADDLE (by Robert Newton Peck)
SADDLES FOR BREAKFAST & JELLYFOOT (both by Janet Randall)
THE NOGULS AND THE HORSE (by Meta Mayne Reid)
PEANUT THE PONY RAT (by Gillian Rubinstein)

Odd Bod was in Carry on Screaming...I love that film ;D I've not heard of most of those titles. Are the books quite normal or are they as weird as their titles?

Sweet Rock (by Gillian Baxter) is a bit weird, as are The Wild Boy and Queen Moon by K M Peyton and also Tears For a Tall Horse which we were talking about on a different thread (can't remember author.) But Not as weird as some as the others Claire has listed! Has anyone noticed the food theme which seems to be running through them: Sweet rock, potatoes, soup, jelly, peanuts, cucumbers and breakfast!

They tie in nicely with the fact that all people do is eat in pony stories, with a bit of riding thrown in for good measure ;D

Not really on topic but thought I'd share my infantile humour with you. On the subject of Haffy laughing at the title 'Gay Darius' just been researching author Jack Bechdolt and had a bit of a giggle at one of the books he wrote - 'Little boy with a big horn' ;D ;D ;D

Just thought of one which must surely be one of the weirdest pony book titles ever - The Long Blond Wig by Wilma Pitchford Hayes!
