Thanks for the links! Certainly enough films to keep us out of mischief for a loooong time!

Sarah no he was a warmblood not a fresian so must be another Torka (unless the real one was a fresian of course as just found out it was based on a true story). The film is listed in the 1990's films section on the first site you linked to though.

Bit frustrating though to see so many and not be able to get our hands on them!
Have found some old VHS tapes with films I recorded off the tv years ago and am going to try and get them put onto a disc.

Interesting that they consider The Last Unicorn a horse movie, as there isnt a horse in sight except for a tiny bit in the beginning (they show 2 people riding through a forest on horseback). The film is an animation throughout, and horses dont play any integral part at all. I would call it more like an fantasy rather than a horse movie.
There is no reason why people who enjoy horses cant also enjoy this movie (I also own it), but if you are looking for real horses or an animation containing real horses then you will be sorely disappointed.
It's also annoying that many of these arent available as Region 2 DVDs, which is disappointing if you cant play Region 1 (which most of these are available as) DVDs.

I also have quite a few on old VHS for example dark horse and like you would love to be able to watch them again A simple conversion is done with a VHS player and a DVD recorder, plus time. It doesnt provide any fancy menus or anything like that, but at the end of the day, it provides watchable fun. Of course it's slightly more complicated if you want the adverts (if any) out, and of course it depends on the quality of the VHS in the first place. You can of course buy software that lets you edit and stuff, but of course that involves extra expense. Whereas with the VHS/DVD player method, the only thing you have to pay for (extra) is the DVD. I did it twice last year: once with Tom's Midnight Garden (the late 1980s BBC version, not the 1999 film version) and Enid Blyton's Castle of Adventure.

lol haffy, I quite fancy trying that converter thing for the computer if they arent too expensive as I'm a bit of a computer geek. Some of the more expensive DVD players record as well as play that is what I meant by a recordable DVD player, and you can also buy dedicated dvd recorders. If you arent technical and dont want to bother you could ask a geeky friend or there are services where you can send the video away to get converted.

All it took was time, and also me having to work it out (sans instructions and completely on my own) how to do it. Cheaper that way too
