Hmm.....tougher than one might expect! How many books does it take to make a series? Three or more ok?
If so, I'll add Fury series by Albert G. Miller
Bonnie series by Pat Johnson and Barbara van Tuyl
Don Revere and Raffy series by John Richard Young
Dria Merideth series by Janet Lambert
Star series by Patsey Gray
Connie McGuire series by Dorothy Lyons
Totally torn about the Black Stallion series....loved early books, loathed later ones.

Jinny, Flicka and Woodbury Pony Club for me (although are 3 books a trilogy rather than a series?).
I don't think I ever read any series in the correct order as a child though; depended on whatever I could find in libraries/charity shops.

I've just thought of another one, Flambards. I'm counting that as 3 books and not the last one!

I don't mind Jackie and she has to get a mention for the fact it's pretty epic in terms of British series at 16 books and all from same pen unlike some 100 series books!!! Also her 'Sue' books are okay and Pippa.
Not strictly a series in the true sense but I do like the KM Peyton Ruth/peter/Johnathon books - Fly, Team and free Rein sort of make a mini series then theres the spin offs if you like like the Pennington Trilogy, Mid summer Nights death etc
CPT's Chill Valley Hounds trilogy and caroline Akrill's Eventers and showing trilogys too if 3 count would be high on my list and the Stars trilogy too come to think of it!
MM Olivers catherine and the Conways books (Horseman's Island, Riding days, Land Of ponies.
I also like Shelley petersons books which again not a series as such are all linked by certain caharcters human/equine as with KM Peyton a bit. Even sundancer/mystery at saddle creek has a few old friends in there although i was really thinking of dancer, Stagestruck and Abby Malone.
Then I like Linda craig and Kit Hunter but not everyone does
Obviously both the old old and new Brumby books, Noel and Henry series and Woodbury PC books would also be top of my lists...
sorry got carried away but one last one Alyssa brugmans Blue and Shelby books

Wow this is gonna be a big poll! No one has mentioned the 3 Jays series.... ;D ;D ;D A modern one I really like - the Horse Angel books by Angela Dorsey, also another modern one Saddle Island by Sharon Siamon. Some older ones I like which I dont think have been mentioned yet include The Misty of Chincoteague series, the David and Pat series, Augusta and Christina and Ponyseekers. Probs loads more too! If you need inspiration check my website series index: series.ponymadbooklovers.co.uk/

Wow...this is going to be a loooooong poll!
Has anyone mentioned the Chill Valley Hounds series (We Hunted Hounds, I Carried the Horn, Goodbye to Hounds) yet?
Oops...I see Haffy already has!
Adding the Jean books by Joanna Cannan (A Pony for Jean, Another Pony for Jean, More Ponies for Jean).

Thanks for the link Claire- it is annoying to see that there were several gaps in the series I enjoyed as a young reader. I loved Three Ponies and Shannon and A Pony To School, but never came across any of the other Christina and Augusta stories, likewise have only read two of the "Moors riders" series and a handful of Jackies.

Haven't heard of the Crystal series trixiepony - will have to look it up. The Taronga Road ones don't appear over here very often (and I dont think in America either) I've been lucky enough to have some sent to me by an Australian pal, but I doubt many Brits will have read them.
Foxglove, I was similar, when I started to set up the website (and it was mainly set up because people kept asking me about series and series order) I found lots I hadnt known about before. There was absolutely nothing anywhere, bookwise or on the net which had lists of the series and their order.

Most of the ones that I like have been mentioned...
However, I am surprised that nobody has said the Eventer's Trilogy. I have read both the Caroline and Silver Bridle Trilogies, but they dont compare to the Eventers.
Another one is the Georgia books by Mary Gervaise.
rosie: I do agree with you about Flambards! When I last re-read the series, I skipped the last one!

Some others which I think may have been forgotten:
Phantom Horse Punchbowl Farm & Romney Marsh Magic and Moonshine books by Gillian Baxter Horsehaven Golden Stallion series Blackbirds Blaze series by C. W. Anderson
Also the Sam Alexander series, Rider and Holywell stables.
Was going to suggest Black Pony Inn and Pony Patrol but I think they are on the worst list!!!
If you have any more suggestions for this one get them in quick as adding the poll shortly.

Added poll but as there was so many to choose from I had to split it into2 parts! You can vote for 10 in each.
