Decided to expand the category to include riding clubs too. No prizes for guessing my fav is the Noel and Henry series. Also a good one if you want a laugh is Jill's Riding Club.

My favourites are, no surprises here, the Woodbury ones by JPT.
Theres also the Island PC by Naomi Wainwright which features a PC in Bermuda. Also in KM Peytons's The Team they go to camp and it's a PC ODE they enter etc
Can't see them aquiring votes but Christine Leslies 4 start a Riding Club and The Horse From the moor by (can't remember) feature clubs too.

The Team From Low Moor by Gillian Baxter
The Surprise Riding Club by Elinor Havers
Aside from a few HORRIBLE modern incarnations (I'm sure I don't need to name names ;D ), riding clubs don't feature heavily in American books...one book that did feature a mounted Girl Scout troop was Silver Birch by Dorothy Lyons (her first book).

This ome is a bit thin on the ground. Anyone got any more ideas. Pat Leitch's Kestrels series had a couple of pony club orientated ones but I cant recall the titles. I am sure there must be more out there!

Who would have thought this would be the category we were struggling to fill!
I think the Pat Leitch books you're thinking of are Cross-Country Gallop and Pony Club Rider
Also thought of one more.....Cammie's Challenge by Jane McIlvaine

you've just beaten me too it Susanb, I was just about to say that one as I'm reading it at the moment. I have to say I won't be voting for it, I'm finding it's a bit of a challenge to read.

lol Rosie, I must say I wasn't overly struck by the Cammie series either altho I know a lot of people like it.
Just thought of another - A Horse From the Moor by Lesley King - but I am really struggling to think of any more. As susan said its a bit surprising there are not more about Pony Club and riding clubs really.

Sorry it's taken me so long to add poll. Been moving myself and Rosie to my parents house to stay until Christmas as their heating actually works and I am wary of getting snowed in again like last year!
Anyhow I separated Radney Riding Club from the other Noel books as it was a riding club not pony club and there were different characters. (also it boosted the rather small selection somewhat!)

I am amazed that Riding Course Summer has more votes than the Woodbury or Barsetshire books. I thought it very lightweight & "young" when I read it, in fact I chose not to keep it when I cleared all my books from my parent's house. Peoples' tastes are very unpredictable!

I agree Fizz in fact I am shocked! Although I enjoyed Riding Course Summer I wouldnt put it in the same leage as the JPT books.
We haven't had that many votes yet tho so hopefully things will change (I am not biased or anything lol)

I've read all but a couple and have most of them tho must admit I quickly sold 4 Start a Riding Club! I suppose the top 10 will be the ones most people have read as well as ones people have enjoyed so it still works out OK if people havent read them all on the list.
