Here in the UK we have a cop show called "Endeavour" which is set in the sixties, it is a spin off from a popular series "Inspector Morse" which was on in the eighties/nineties and based on books of the same name. It follows the said Inspector when he was by a young Detective Constable then Detective Sergeant. I was n't a fan of Morse, but I am a big fan of Endeavour
A new series started on Sunday night. I will try hard not to give out spoilers, but a young girl was killed and part of the solution hinged round she was an avid reader of pony books and used the mobile library to get them. She read "Black Beauty" and "Ride like the Wind" and two other books were mentioned by the librarian, but I did n't quite catch the titles, one sounded like "Gypsy pulls through/Gypsy wins through"
Anyone saw it with better ears than me, or have any ideas?

You can probably rewatch on iplayer or ITVhub or whatever, and put the subtitles on to catch the book titles.

Not a fan of the show as I find the main character a bit irritating and wishy washy especially compared to the fabulous John Thaw. But I must go on iplayer and have a look as its very rare there's any mention of pony books in tv shows or films at all!

I love Endeavour! We're almost a year behind you here in the US, the latest series will air this summer, will be looking forward to the pony book episode especially. I'll try to catch the missing titles and post then
