My idea....I've never heard of it being played that way, so if we did, it would be all ours! It seemed appropriate, since all those horse thieves were hung from the backs of the stolen cow ponies ;D ;D
Re drawing the tree....I was thinking more of clip art....then you'd just draw the noose and stick man.

Re drawing the tree....I was thinking more of clip art....then you'd just draw the noose and stick man. Are you doubting my artisitc ability susan? ;D ;D ;D I think it might be quite fun to do it that way. Just going to look for some clip art of a tree with a vulture perched on it - that would be perfect But back to this game: Sorry no A so: _ _ _ _ _ _ _

This is ridiculous, I've resorted to going on the computer for five minutes with the alarm set so I don't forget I'm not supposed to be sitting here!! So I'm going to guess at Bracken for the word - if not I'm going to say the letter T?

To catch up with all the guesses: Bracken is not the word. There is no T or D but there is an N and a O _ N O _ _ E _

Claire...LOVE the idea of a vulture in the tree!! Hope you can find one!
On to the current quiz.....Knowles? BTW, that raises a point....if it's an author, are you going to do just last name, or first and last?

Nope your guess of Knowles is not correct susan so I get to add some rope If its an author it will be the full name. I'm working on the tree and vulture pic hopefully it will be ready for the next word ;D

Is there a horse called Knocker? Maybe Horse on a Hilltop - that series?

Sob only had an arm and 2 legs to go.... But yes it is KNOCKER - the pony from Joanna Webster's trilogy. Got to be the strangest name for a pony ever! Well done Sarah!
