Hi all, we havent had a quiz for a while so thought I would do one. Its a 'name the book and author from the cover' quiz. Titles and names have either been chopped off or erased. To make it harder all the books and authors featured are non-British! Ive put the quiz up as a link as its quicker than adding all the pics into photobucket. You can see the covers by clicking on this link: comps.ponymadbooklovers.co.uk

I have never seen any of them , but can I hazard a guess that 11 is the Silver Brumby? A real 'wild' guess, is 4 Sea Star?? Is number 9 Sea Shadow, or Horse from the Sea, or the Little Sea Horse? (Covering all the bases there ;D)

I don't know any of them I must admit I didn't realise just how many different authors have written pony books. Don't know why I should be surprised as it's a great subject!

Is 3 the brumby one about the tiny foal?? Is 20 Tchiffleys (Can't spell it!) Ride? Another guess, then I'll resort to cheating!! Felix Salten wrote Bambi, and a few others, one about ponies, and one about the Emperor's Horse - is it that one?
|
|
|
Post by Claire on May 15, 2009 21:59:06 GMT 1
3 - no its a USA book 20 is about Tschiffeley's ride but need the title, ditto with 17 right author but need title to get full marks

Oooh you are getting tough!! I thought it was called 'Tschiffeley's ride'!! I have googled him though, and apparently there is a child friendly version called 'a Tale of Two Horses'. Is it that one?? Can I get a point for knowing they were called Mancha and Gato?
The Felix one - could be 'Florian, the Emperor's Horse' or 'Old Rosie, the Horse Nobody Understood'

No 15 is Rider by night and is Swedish, I've got that same version but can't be bothered to go and look who the author is ...Karin somebody maybe?
