Hair! That's why I swore I would never have a longcoated dog, so of course finished up with one, but never again. 120lbs of looooong hair, and he hates being brushed! Last year I took the kitchen scissors to him, but was then too embarrassed to take him out in public, and forgot I had entered him for a show!! When I open the windows in my car driving along, there is a maelstrom of whirling hair, and the car following behind has to shave it's windscreen!! ;D
But this year I have a secret weapon - horse tail and mane conditioner!!

I think there are several makes, I used one called Canter but I have def seen others, comes in a spray bottle and costs 5 times more than I have ever spent on conditioner for my hair, but it works, someone asked me today if I spent a lot of time grooming him! Yay, it was worth the 2 hours I spent yesterday before they saw him!! ;D I also tried the horse dry shampoo, that was useless!

Canter coat shine! I admit to using that on my hair once, a few years ago, and it worked! Good stuff.

HAHA I am totally LMAO because I stole Magnus' 'champion tail water glaze' out of his show box to use on my hair...I totally love that stuff!
All you guys with the litter boxes....I have eight indoor cats. Yep, thats right, EIGHT indoor cats.....We switch between crystal litter and woodshavings. The cats hate the crystal litter but it doesnt smell or track on the floor. When the cats get fed up with it (and start going everywhere else) we go back to shavings, and when I get fed up sweeping the floor 3 times a day and having hell getting the clumps out, we switch back to crystals!
Back to the point of the thread, my oldest cat Ze Ze goes mad for peas and corn. Cant figure it. And Magnus will eat anything. I do mean anything. Loves a pie and coke at the show. Stole my glass of wine once and he does get into beer in a big way.

My dog is a closet vegetarian. His deathrow dinner is a cucumber. If I'm making a sandwich and he hears me chopping it he'll come all the way downstairs. He also eats: Peppers, tomato (but not very keen), cabbage, brocolli, mango, apple, pineapple, porrige, curry, courgette, peas, anything really except butterheard lettuce and celery. My cat once ate an entire roast potato, purely to spite the dog who was hovering over his shoulder hoping he'd reject it.

Laughing at the thought of your cat, Lily, ploughing through a roastie just to spite the dog!
