Crikey hope its not that expensive! There is one a few miles away which charges about £20 which I think is the going rate for this area. Pity we cant go and muck a few horses out in exchange for rides as I use to do in the days of my youth ;D

I went down to a standardbred rehoming/training person 2 hours drive away on wednesday and went for a 3 HOUR TRAIL RIDE! I'm still sore to sit down but the muscles are pretty good. I fell in love with the 5 year old standy I rode who had perfect manners, even tho' he had only been under saddle for 4 WEEKS. If he hadn't have been sold I would've bought him. I'm going to visit again when the weather cools down and do some groundwork with her and she's keeping an eye out for a suitable mount for me!!! And it only cost me a bale of lucerne which I decided to give her as a thankyou and she was blown away by that. It would have cost $100 commercially around here.

Visted the stables and its not too expensive (relatively!) £17 an hour. So I may be inflicting myself upon some poor horse soon ;D I will send a progress report! I actually also found a cheap livery place by accident when I was looking for the stables cos I went to the wrong place and it turned out to be a livery yard. Now I've got Sarah sending me pics of loads of horses for sale in Yorkshire trying to tempt me into buying one with my house buying money

Forgot to say darkhorse you know me so well. In the days of my youth I liked them fast and wild but now that comfy old armchair ride is just what I need.
Hmm just read what i wrote...could be misconstrued ;D

Do you think you could talk your friend into a little visitor? Don't tempt me, I'll be down trying to see if I can get him in the back of the car! Where is she geographically speaking - up, down or middle??

My friend is in Hampshire/Surry - just moved from Devon - I'm sure if we could get him there she would be fine - also where I used to ride/work always has space for one more!

I do NOT look at horse ads. I do not. I refuse. I must be strong.
But that little skew's cute...and I live in Cornwall. We have land and rescues, as well the sale ones. Sure we could find a space.
This is fatal.
Seriously, these ads are addictive. I stopped buying Horse Deals because I ended up emailing about horses I couldn't afford.
What are we like??

I was only encouraging a little bit. Oh I've fallen for the little skewbald I've got space but he's just too far away. You're all right, these ads are lethal!

I'll be giving karma to snowfilly and kunuma - gutted he's sold I was getting excited about us rescueing him. This thread has got me addicted to horsemart so I'm dreading what I'll end up buying - I shouldn't look.
