I thought that might get your attention. I've just been watching Dead Set on e4 tonight, it's on all week and is big brother with zombies. I think it's ace, I love zombie films and Davina Macol as a zombie really makes it. It's typical night of the living dead fare, I just wondered if anyone else is watching it and what they think - or am I the only sick, disturbed person on the forum who likes watching a bit of gore!!

Yup I think so ;D Saw it advertised and the read up sounded great but it would scare the living daylights out of me plus we still can't get a digitial signal even if I wasn't a wuss!

Yep I'm a wuss too hate gore and even violence on films/TV. Also I loathe big brother and reality shows in general so certainly not my cup of tea. However I'm sure I read that the creator the show is very critiical of BB is it a dig at the show?

I can't stand big brother either, but dead set seems to take the mic out of it a bit. not in a laugh out loud way but just makes it look as stupid as it is.
My taste in tv is a bit grim, I have to admit. My next confession is - looks round sheepishly - I also love ............ musicals

Hey I like em too. I loved Moulin Rouge and Phantom of the Opera (but that may be just cos I have a Gerard Butler obsession ;D ) OUt of the old ones I love My Fair Lady best altho I must admit a few of the more cheesy ones grate on me a bit. I also like all those old 40s/50s films.

I thought Big Brother had always had zombies? They have them on the Jeremy Kyle show too! ;D
I do love supernatural stuff - think I have wicca tendencies! Has to be clever though, not just gory. The older ones seem to be the cleverer ones, love the old Hammer Horror types. The Munsters rock! ;D
Will try and catch the programme and see what I think - at the moment I'm fighting a recent addiction to Burn Notice and Sanctuary.

Sanctuary is a web series gone to TV, probably only popular among scifi fans! (Guilty as charged ) Think - Buffy meets Primeval!! ;D Has my favourite actress in it! It's on ITV 4 I think, took me ages to find it as I never usually watch the terrestrial lot! Burn Notice is on FX - think - updated McGyver but without the gorgeous Richard Dean Anderson - though his modern replacement has a certain something!

Is sanctuary the one that started with the police going into a house where a little boy was in a room with a dead body and this alien thingy appeared from him and killed the cop? Or was that something else entirely? I started to watch it on the itv version of iplayer, but the video streaming is hopeless on there so gave up. I would quite like to see what happened. But dont watch TV havent got a tv licence as refuse to pay for the crap that predominates. Everything I watch is from the net. What is burn notice about? (Didnt see McGyver) Is it sci fi too? I will watch if it has a hot guy in it I quite like sci fi/fantasy things as long as they are not too hammy/jargonny/silly!

Um - yes I think that would be ep one of Sanctuary- has Amanda Tapping in a brunette wig. Bit over the top, but has it's moments! Only realised on Halloween night, (most appropriate) but the guy in Burn Notice was previously in The Blair Witch Project - admittedly a film that I am still trying to understand why people thought it was scary. Not only were the woods so beautiful that I would have paid to get lost in them, but the halfwitted students who were lost in them were so damn noisy and annoying I would have persuaded the monster to eat them a lot sooner! ;D ER - I digress, I'm just trying to put off telling Claire that I nearly had 50 fits when I read that the BBC were trying (or perhaps had succeeded!) in saying that you had to have a TV licence to watch TV on a computer!!!!

Thanks for the info kunuma. Cant say I was scared by the Blair Witch thing either and I am a wuss with horror films normally.
Re the TV licence I have checked and it is only if you watch the actual programs while they are being broadcast on your computer (ie you have a TV card) thay you need a licence. If you watch stuff later it doesnt count.
Actually it is really annoying cos I literally have not watched the TV in 4 months and yet I still keep getting nasty letters from the TV people acting as if I'm a criminal. Apparantly that just cannot belive that some people do not watch TV!

I think the whole TV licence thing is a real rip off - wish they had an opt out button so that you only had to pay the fee if you watched the terrestrial channels. But I'm a saaad person - TV is cheaper than going out - and you can turn off people if you don't like them, so it is my favourite form of social life! It was when I realised I was talking back at it that I did get a bit worried!

I think pay per view would be the fairest it would also stop that guilty feeling you get when you realise you've wasted 2 hours of your life watching utter bilge Hmm this house costs so much to heat I actually think its cheaper going out. As long as i can find someone to buy the drinks ;D
