Thanks for those two last additions to the ever-growing list. Like the sound of Bold Venture/Bluebird.

Bluebird really is excellent....I bought it on impulse off ebay a year or so ago...got a decent price and didn't know how lucky I was, till I tried to find another copy to give for Christmas. The author wrote only three books, Bluebird/Bold Venture, Rising Star, and one about Henry V at Agincourt called A Walk with Peril (odd topic for an American writer, but history buffs come from everywhere, I guess!).
The blurb about her on the back of the dj notes that she had short stories published both in the US (Saturday Evening Post, Turf and Sport) and in Australia (Australian Monthly and Australian Women's Weekly), so her appeal seems to have been international....wonder why she stopped writing?

Having fun browsing through the list.....one to add, and a note on another...the US title of Patricia Leitch's Janet Young Rider/Horse for the Holidays is Last Summer to Ride (I wonder if that makes it a winner for book with most different titles?)
Barbara Morgenroth also wrote a book called Ride a Proud Horse....not a sequel to Last Junior Year...a stand-alone.

Just finished Ins and Outs - not a bad read. Particularly liked bit at end where stroppy, one-man mare has to be ridden by another member of the team and has her own ideas about this.
