Tee hee thought we had a mystery interloper ;D
Yes they follow on, altho Ruth is not in Free Rein, but Jonathan (who is in the Team bbut not Fly) and Peter (who is in them all) are both in it. Clear as mud ;D

Well its not an 'official' reading circle book as I dont think enough of us have read it. (I think only 3 of us, me you and haffy) Anyone else who has read it and wants to vote let me know and if we have enough people to vote will set up a thread and poll.

I liked Free Rein/Last Ditch - but not the sad ending :-( No It wasn't very fitting for a gallant campaigner, glad Buffoon didn't suffer the same fate and had his moment of glory. I make that 4 people at least who've read it, so can we have a poll Claire....pleeaassse

Yeah anyway... I realy love this book!

This was one of those rare used bookstore finds. Its out in the shed in a book with all my other pony books..... I loved this one.... named one of my model horses Fly By Night. I did stumble across The Team in a library once, and never heard of Free Rain....wait is that the one with a Lippizanner? Or it that a different author? Liked her Who Sir, Me Sir as well, would love to find a copy of it. Any way, I liked this one. I've readit a few times over the years....

Sahdowhawke, Free Rein is also known as Last Ditch, you may have heard of it under that title. It is not about Lipizanners but about the Grand National when Peter and Johnathan, all grown up, train a horse for the race. Its a good read.

shadowhawke, many of K.M. Peyton's books were published in the US, including her first book, Sabre the Horse from the Sea, written when she was still a teenager and published under her maiden name, Kathleen Herald. Quite a lot of them are still in the library system....even if your local library doesn't have a title, they may be able to interlibrary loan a book....it never hurts to ask! (I'm in the US too, and I've read several of her books via the library) Here's a link to Peyton's own page: kmpeyton.co.uk/and one to Clair's page on her: kmpeyton.ponymadbooklovers.co.uk/
